The Sweet Spot Kayla Perrin 9780060753993 Books Reviews
I enjoyed this book! Zoë was a trip at times lol but I liked her chemistry with Kahari. Poor guy had a hard time catching a break whew but he came out victorious after all his trials!
Oakland Raider wide receiver Kahari Brown is regarded by his peers as the best at his position today. However, he is prouder of his accomplishments with keeping youths off the street. The only sore points in his idyllic Beverly Hills lifestyle are his aimless sister LaTonya and Estela Rivera who accuses him of fathering her child.
That all changes when he meets Los Angeles transplant correspondent Zoe Andrews, who struggles to make a name in sports reporting. Bad things seem to always happen to her just when things look good; to Kahari's chagrin she has transferred her curse onto him as he suddenly is dropping passes, the media is having a field day with the paternity accusations, and finally Estela stalks Kahari as she believes he loves her.
This is an interesting sports romance with a touch of intrigue caused by Estela. Kahari's belief that Zoe is his jinx highlights that many sports figures are superstitious and adhere to strict routines when things are going great and try mumbo jumbo when in a slump. The story line is character driven as fans will claim the lead couple is a MVP (most valuable pairing). A clever blending of serious life issues with an amusing "courtship", SWEET SPOT is a fun contemporary tale.

Wide receiver Kahari Brown is a star on and off the field. He gives back to his community by keeping troubled youth active and off the streets and attempts to maintain a quiet and calm lifestyle despite being a celebrity.
If he could get his baby sister out of his house and working and crazy groupie Estela Rivera to stop claiming that he is the father of her child then everything would be all good. Enter Zoë Andrews. She's an ambitious beauty who is determined to make a name for herself in the world of sports. Zoë dreams of becoming a big name sportscaster one day and decides to take the initiative and try and interview Kahari during a post-game interview session. She asks him about his supposed child with Estela and immediately gets on Kahari's bad side.
In spite of their unfavorable first encounter, Zoë and Kahari have an awesome attraction for each other and learn so much about what makes them the incredible individuals that they are. When some more drama arises regarding another woman claiming to have some dirt about Kahari's past, they both need to make a decision on whether or not to trust each other.
Though the storyline kept me interested, I felt that there were some missing pieces. Like whatever happened to Estela after her self-destruction and why couldn't they get her to take a paternity test?
Overall, this was an attention-grabbing story from author Kayla Perrin.
This book was really good. I never read a Kayla Perrin book before. And I love this book. When times are tough you have to do what you have to do to reach your dreams. Anything.
Kayla Perrin is very consistent. You know what you are going to get when you buy one of her books and she didn't dissapoint. This book is good, has a lot of hot romance and keeps you laughing. I read this one fast.
This sweet spot was just that...sweet. it was not what i expected from Kayla, i have read some of her other books and I guess that is what you get when you assume, but I assume that this book would resemble the others in some shape of fashion. I did not like the way that it ended. it left to many questions for me still unanswered.
If for whatever reason you find yourself about to purchase this book. DON'T
How is it they don"t even meet until the 23rd chapter. UGH
I am so drained trying to read the dialogue in this book, i feel like I've killef a few brain cells. We have all been caught up with reading a REALLY BAD BOOK, but this one should not of went to print, let alone, cost ( $8) EIGHT WHOLE DOLLARS in kindle form.
The story is DRAB, the characters language isn't written in American English. which means very difficult to follow.
***DO NOT READ***
